
David J. Kreher has a Ph.D. in geochemistry, over twenty years of experience in the practice of law and diverse experience in the filing and prosecution of patent applications, defending his client’s intellectual property rights, and consulting with his clients on business-related legal matters. As in-house counsel in the engineering and construction industry, David built an extensive technical background in engineering and construction. He holds a B.A. in Geology and Philosophy from Albion College, an M.S. and Ph.D. in Geology, and received his J.D. from the University of Tulsa.
With patent experience including patent searches, authoring patentability opinions, patent application filings with the USPTO, and patent litigation to protect client interests, Mr. Kreher has built a career informed by the meticulous details critical to success in the practice of intellectual property law. His in-house background includes a host of concerns from negotiating and interpreting contracts including engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) agreements, subcontracts, non-disclosure agreements, change orders, memoranda of agreements, and an array of other types of contracts. Coupled with a technical background in which his Ph.D. in geochemistry was a key foundation, David has engaged in the analysis and modeling of deep gas fields, and a variety of other experiences in engineering, construction and environmental remediation. This background makes him uniquely qualified to assist in legal matters related engineering, construction and intellectual property.
